Deep in a forgotten shrine inside forest, a girl is found by shadowy figures, the God of Deaths. One of them, Z, picked the girl and wants to use her as his observation subject against his brethrens wish to eat her soul. Real God of Death in their world can only consume soul from human babies who still don develop personality, or people in verge of death. He taught the girls with various knowledge and train her to fight. One day, Z suddenly disappears, leaving a letter and black sword. The girl, Olivia, sets out to look for Z and volunteered herself as soldier of Farnest Kingdom who are in losing war against Ashbelt Empires war for hegemony of the continent. This is the story of Olivia Valedstorm, the girl raised by Death, as she turns the tide of war with her feared title as the Reaper, and eventually becomes one of the most intriguing heroes in the continents history.
